This is always an exciting time for me – back to school. Today the 9th graders came to school for an orientation, a walk-about-school, opening lockers, meeting teachers, seeing four hallways that look exactly the same. In the library, we are getting ready for a busy first week, helping all students log on to the computers, reviewing MLA style formatting and citation, and learning about our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) with our school technology. I’ve been reading a lot this summer – I took a Children’s Literature course and read, read, read over 200 picture and youth books. I did sneak in Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, and a fast-paced young adult techno thriller, Little Brother. Check out my Shelfari list.
